By 1972, the Porsche 911 had already established the shape and character that would make it an icon. The long bonnet, slender pillars and compact bodywork still reflected the original design, while years of development had refined the driving experience. Within the range, the T stood for “Touring”: the entry point to 911 ownership, sharing the distinctive layout and air-cooled flat-six character of its more powerful siblings. Today, that straightforward approach is a large part of its appeal. An early 911 invites you to become involved in every part of the drive, from the way you guide it through a corner to the changing sound of the engine behind you.
This beautiful 1972 example began a new chapter with a complete restoration, finished in 2021. Every bolt and screw was replaced as part of a comprehensive rebuild that brought the car into excellent condition.
Following its completion, the Porsche joined a private collection, where it remained until recently. It has rarely been driven since the restoration, preserving the fresh feel and appearance of the completed work.
Its olive green paintwork gives this 911 T a particularly distinctive presence. It is the shade familiar to viewers of the Danish-Swedish crime series The Bridge, and a colour that suits the understated lines of an early 911 beautifully.
